Vitamin D-rich Foods

There is no comprehensive list of "superfoods" to treat vitamin D insufficiency, although many foods are strong suppliers of vitamin D and may help people get more of it

LET'S GET STARTED

Fat Fish:

Vitamin D is best found in fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, sardines, and trout. They provide much of this vitamin.

Fish oil:

Vitamin D, A, and omega-3 fatty acids are in cod liver oil. It's a supplement.

Fortified Foods

Fortified milk, orange juice, yogurt, and cereals contain vitamin D. Check labels for extra vitamin D.

Egg Yolks:

Egg yolks provide mild vitamin D. Since vitamin D is mostly in the yolk, eat the entire egg.

Mushrooms:

Sunlight gives shiitake and maitake mushrooms vitamin D. The quantity varies.

Beef Liver

Beef liver contains vitamin D. Its strong vitamin A concentration necessitates moderation.

Fortified Plant-Based Milks:

If you're vegan, you can drink vitamin D-fortified soy, almond, or oat milk.
